Brownells has 22 LR no limit!

BUT as far as I'm concerned they can keep it!!!!

HURRY, you can get all you want at the low, low price of ONLY sixty bucks a brick! (well a penny less than that).

Sixty bucks for a 500 round brick of Mexican 22 LR???????

Does seem a tad high huh? Never even heard of that company.

I wonder how much they have, cause I did the usual trick of putting 100,000 into my cart and it allowed it all, usually it says "sorry but only this number is available".

No matter, I don't need any anyway.

Apparently this company is popular in Mexico on the domestic market but never exported to the US before.

I wouldn't pay that much but it indicates supply is increasing and that is good news!

Not a chance at that price. It will have to be less than half of that for me to even
consider buying again. If they can't get the price back down, I may be out of the
rimfire business permanently. I will NOT pay $0.10 per shot for ordinary .22 LR ammo.

Never heard of that stuff from Mexico. Looks like tin can grade to me but could be wrong. I've been preaching imports but this isn't what I have been talking about. Things have not been the same around here since Brownells bought out Crow Shooters Supply a few years ago. Crow was the big powder, primers, ammo wholesaler for the state. Even Scheels bought their stuff from them including guns & reloading supplies.

Thanks for the link oldred, but my credit card is still in my wallet.

I was at my favorite (within a 25 mile radius) LGS back at the end of July. The shop sells Class III items. While chatting with the salesman, he thought I might be interested in a silenced .22, and invited me to give one a try on the range out back. Luckily for me, my wife was waiting in the car, so I didn't take the time. We were a couple miles down the road before the full light of day managed to penetrate my feeble brain and I began to laugh. Come to think of it, I haven't been back there, or to any other GS since then.

Yep, especially if you cast your own boolits (that's why we're here). No way I would pay $6 for 50 rounds of Mexican ammo.

I was looking for 22 mags and tried to buy from one of our sponsors.

Cabelas was listed as "out of stock" and I understand.

Then I tried Brownells and took one look at the price of their Mexican stuff and said "NO WAY JOSE".

tomme, I think it was about 4 years ago best my fuzzy old memory can remember. Crow located in Brooklyn was a major player in the distribution channel. Bobs Shooting Supply purchased all his powder & Primers from Crow. Its still called Crow but it is now owned by Brownells. The same people still work at Crow but its not the same company it was in the old days.

Cabela,s had 22 the last time I was there 2.39 a box of 50 limit of two. Thats 24.00 a brick and that was for Remington. The price is dropping and the gougers will get desperate.

I just bought some Norma Tac22 made in Germany for $535 a case of 5000. It shoots under a inch at 100 yards for 10 shots prone.

I've been buying target ammo from a local shop for pre panic prices. Shooting it in my Contender 14" match barrel and a #4 Remington rolling block. Takes a while to shoot up a box of 50 in the single shots.
I do have an ample supply of standard 22lr for my other guns also.

I'm only hoarding the 22 ammo that I've had for about 3 years. Haven't shot the rimfires in quite a while. I'm not paying the crazy prices. I'll wait till the prices come back to reality. If that's never, then it's never. Like someone said, we can shoot our 38's for considerably less than that. So we will, I will,anyway......
