    SPP210 smells funny.

I have about 6-7 Lb left from an 8 lb black plastic jug. It smells like no other powders I have.... Looks fine. Its hard to explain the strong smell. Its been stored inside with all the others. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking of loading some .44 mag with it (full but not compressed ) and see how it shoots out my handi rifle with cast 240 gr SWC.

It has a very distinct odor compared to a powder like IMR. Now that you mention it, it smells exactly like Russian 4895. They use different solvents for their powder, a process devised by the same fellow who first proposed the periodic table. Mendeleev called it pyrocollodian. Guess someone in Switzerland is making it too!
