    I'm ready

I took the Genesis rifle, built for me by Goodsteel to the range yesterday with my hunting load. 358 Win, RCBS 200g over 3031. It is still shooting like a dream. There is not one single thing about that rifle that I do not like.Click image for larger version.

Glad you like it milkman. Definitely one of my finest creations, and very accurate too. That's the same load that my rifle likes best. Just remember to make the Boolits hard enough!

What speed did you settle on with that rifle? Mine was happiest around 2200fps.

Wow! My .358 Savage 99 is a good shooter, but surely not that good. Great cartridge and great rifle, I found 40 grains of IMR4320 to work well in mine with that bullet.

Beerd-- If you go to the Special Projects forum and search for "Genesis Rifle" there are several pictures and a great write-up from Goodsteel

Goodsteel I chrono'ed them today and they are running right at 2250 fps. I am using 50/50/2% alloy water dropped and hoping it is not too soft for that velocity.

Seeing the original thread with a quick response from Felix brings a calmness. Beautiful rifle and good shooting to boot

Sink that low, and I'll make sure your next rifle has a mother of pearl possum inlayed on it instead of a buck.
    LOL!
