In my continuing search for lead, I came across http://nuclead.com.

They advertise selling scrap lead.

Nuclead has tons of clean lead in drops or shavings (chips). We sell this lead for a fraction of the market price. It is ideal for customers that have tight budgets that do not require material certifications.

I talked to a sales rep briefly on the phone and was told to submit a request for a quote. I did as requested asking for pricing on a minimum order of 100 pounds.

For shipping costs, they state that for common carriers it is cost plus 40%. So I'm guessing if I want it UPS, the shipping fee is 40% of purchase price for my order?

Has anybody dealt with these folks? I'll be sure to post their reply.

I looked at them but passed because the total cost was too high for me.
