    Proven 223 plinking load

Wife was kind enough to pick me up 2 pounds of IMR 8208XBR powder the other day. I've got a bunch of 223 brass and 1k generic 55gr FMJ plinking bullets.

Does anyone have a good generic plinking recipe using the 8208 powder and 55 FMJ? I've got 2 AR's. A RRA with 16" barrel and 1-9 twist and a PSA with SS 16" 1-7 twist. This will be just blasting ammo. I've got some good brass and some 68 gr Hornady Match bullets to play with later.

Lee's Modern Reloading Second Edition shows a starting charge of 23gr of 8208 for 3,024fps and a max charge of 25.3gr for 3,268fps with a 55gr bullet.
