    Even a small score is a score.

    Last week while cruising a local pawn shop, I found a 4 oz roll of 40/60 solder in with the bulk wrenches and sockets. Asked the guy at the counter and he said 50 cents. It's enough to sweeten the mix for a lot of 22 cal bullets.

    One of the local thrift stores is having everything for half price from 1 to 3 this month. Picked up several brass doo dads that I could sell for more as scrap than the sale price. Also found 2 pewter candle holders that were marked a dollar each, so I got them both for a dollar. Got them home and knocked the weight of of the bottoms and they weighed .43 pounds.

    Even a small score beats a sharp stick in the eye. And it's when looking that you have the best chance of finding a really good score.
