Ahhhhh the 460 Rowland uses the 45 ACP bullet I have a Rowland on my 1911 and the 45ACP bullets, cast or jacketed work just fine.

Its just a heavy 45 then or is it a slight increase in bullet size to something like 458? I cant really find anything about it. I shot one the other day and am hooked after seeing the carnage it caused.

No increase in bullet dia. at all the case is aprox 1/10th of a inch longer than a standard 45acp

Well you could cut down any case based on the 06 or 308 case but and this is the touchy part the case volume would be way under what the Rowland case is and would boost pressure to dangerous levels.

Yep! Looks like it is a standard 45 caliber bullet, as in .451.

I would use a 40 S&W for a jacket. Do not trim it like we typically do for our 220 grain 45ACP bullets. Leave the 40 S&W jacket it's standard length and use a 175 grain core, then you would have some awesome 255 grain bullets for the 460 Rowland from the looks of it.

The 460 is a 45ACP on steroids. Case length is approx. .060 longer than 45acp. The 460 case is beefed up in the web and lower sidewall to stand the pressure which is in the 44mag range. Requires the 460 Roland kit which includes barrel with compensator, HEAVY recoil spring, guide rod and instructions. Full power loads are best with J-word bullets. Clark makes a nice kit. Brownell's also carries the clark kit. Starline Brass makes the brass and can be purchased from them. It is a hoot to shoot. Uses standard .451-.452 projectiles. Iron Whittler
