Big thanks to Chris AKA Lathesmith… I have only just found the time to set up and use my Star lubesizer, and the dies (.3585) which Chris made for me months ago. Wow, what I great setup. Unfortunately, the molds are dropping the boolits a little on the small side, as they just about fall through the die. So, I lightly tapped a few boolits with a hammer on the ‘nose end’, effectively squashing them out a little. Put these through the Star, and they were sized to…. Yep, .3585 The die is superb Chris, thank you. I will be ordering a .44 (I think .431) very soon.
I plan to very carefully lap my mold out as soon as I have the time, thus creating the perfect combo.
