years ago when i shot all black powder i inlarged my flash hole to .124 diam. now i only shoot reloader 7, 35 grains, a mild load. i checked with the co. that makes reloader 7 and they said their was no problem in doing that with that powder. that was a while back and i was courious if any one else has done this? i use a 480 grain paperpatched bullet that i swage from a cast slug. both my 45/70/s shoot way better than i can aim. my cases never wear out and i just keep useing them over and over with the .124 flash hole. and reloader 7.their is no primer distortion or bottom of case distortion at all. i have always figured a cleaner faster more complete burn came from the flash hole inlargement. i wouldnt try it on other powders but the reloader 7 is ok. again, anybody else as nutty as i am? thanks.
