This is Becky, Boaz's daughter. This is the artists who sang "We Believe" and "Our God's Not Dead" ,and they are singing one of the older songs. My dad is sitting here listening to it with me, and he is an old guy and he's enjoying it! If I had a kid I would rather them listen to Christian bands, even though they may not be traditional, than....................other ALTERNATIVES! These guys are pretty great, and they have come to be one of my favorite bands! Please let your kids listen to them rather than to some other bands that are not as great, and have other motives. Other bands have motives such as turning them to the Devil rather than to God. Newsboys is a great band please please please let your kids hear them. Always remember this verse.

    Psalm 98:4King James Version (KJV)

4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

This kid can wakeup this sleepy, stuffy, Southern Baptist church and turn them all into "Bapticostals" LOL

This is not my son but Rend Collective Experiment themselves . . . just so you can hear the song:

I was raised Baptist and love the old hymns but could not get into gospel music until I found a band called "Third Day."

I have a lot of their albums.

Nothing like rocking on "The Rock"

Be Thou My Vision Something about this hymn really touches me. Don't know if it's the succinct words or the Irish melody. Love it none the less.

Amazing Grace, for sure, and best when played on the bagpippes. If THAT doesn't penetrate one's hardened outer layer of the soul, then nothing will!

I know whom I have believed. By David Wyper. I like this one, because it says in the Bible to "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord". Too many church services sound like a funeral.

Blackwater, it's not bagpipes, but Haley Westerna has a great version of Amazing Grace.

It may not be a hymn, in the view of some, but I happen to really enjoy "What Salvation's Done For Me" by "The Booth Brothers. I distinctly remember life before Christ, and I am particularly grateful for salvation.
    I serve Jesus exclusively...do you?

Before I lost my hearing in my left ear, and before my wife's illness, we used to sing in nursing homes/dementia units, etc.... It was truly AMAZING to see folks who couldn't remember their own children, light up when Jill sang Amazing Grace. So, that has to be my favorite. As to contemporary ........ I would have to pick "Seven Sundays In a Row" by Blue Highway and "Mercy Walked In" by Gordon Mott(?).
