    Noe 503-350G-RF for 500 S&W

Anyone using this boolit? I want to work up a 1200 fps load for my BILs gun so he can learn to shoot it well. Anyone using it? What powder and charges?

Any other suggestions for a midrange boolit and load?

Start at 10grs of unique and work slow.

Also mu goto load is a 440 Lee over 15 grs unique and pushes right at 1100fps and more accurate than I can hold at 100yds.

saz, what alloy are you running? I assume you are running them with the gas check.

I am using ACWW, checked and tumble lubed with 45/45/10 mix of lla, jpw and mineral spirits. Pretty much my goto lube for everything. No check accuracy is absolutely terrible.

I use a PB, 440 gr in my JRH, water dropped WW's at 1350 fps. Also use it in a friends S&W.
Just need a GC if the boolit is designed for one.
Things go easier with a GC because you can soften the boolit some and the JRH does need some expansion. Hard boolits are a paper punch on deer.

Trail boss for light loads, but for the speed you want, look up data for Accurate 5744. I use both of these powders in the 460 mag. A5744 will go from fairly mild to almost wild. It is a reduced rifle powder and will work with cast or jwords. It may not fully burn, but it is safe for downloading, unlike 110/296.
