Looking for a cartridge carrier for a Marlin Model 81-DL Bolt Action Tub Feed 22 Cal. Rifle. Number 403610B in the Numrich catalog. Have looked at Numrich, Bronell's, Ebay, Gun Broker, Bob's Gun Shop with no luck. Any leads on finding this part would help.

You might check with Poppert's there in PA for the part you need (Larry advertises on Gun Broker and I believe he lists his phone number there as well.) Otherwise I would just hit the larger gun shows and see what the parts dealers have. I just disconnected the whole lifter assembly on my Model 81 and used it as a single shot for a while. This isn't a final solution, but it works OK if you need it.

I think sears used to peddle those as JC Higgins models.

If you can't come up with parts... let me know. I think I have one at home with a cracked bolt face.
