    First outing with 130 gr 8 mm (NOE 321 130Gr. FN (323008))

Well I finally had a chance to shoot some of these boolits today in my "Turked" GEW98 ( Receiver sights & Aperture front at 50 yds)
I cast them a while back as soon as I got the mould. It is a 2 cavity (1 PB & 1GC) in .328" Boolits were sized .326" lube was Ben's Red. Alloy was my usual of 50% COWW / 50% pure / add'l 2% tin.
All are air cooled and seasoned for minimum of 4 weeks & divided into groups of plus or minus .3 gr variation.

Black Bull was 3" at 50 yd ( perfect for my sight picture)
Took a guess at where I wanted to start, powder & load wise, and just loaded two small batches up & headed out to the range.

First target is 16 grains Alliant 2400 and 130 gr Gas Checked boolit for ten shots

The second target was 6 grains Bullseye with the 130 grain plain base boolit for 7 shots.
Wish I had 3 more boolits but was shy of that particular grain weight so I shot what I had

BTW: the sights were not adjusted between loads so that is the difference in impact point.

All in all I'm delighted. Especially with the plain base version. Now I really do have a light weight 8 mm plinker that is very economical to shoot! Now to start some real load development

    Swede,
It's a great mould! Not sure how much more I'm going to develop that Plain base boolit load! After posting I did some serious measuring and The ragged hole to the right is less than 1/2" and that is for 5 Boolits!!! I think that is my best group ever.

I also want to mention: I always seat to the lands! I develop ( ALL) my c.o.l.'s based on a carefully forward seated boolit in a dummy round. Carefully chambered in the rifle when the bolt is closed ....then carefully removed. (Usually shows some bore engagement) that is what I use for COL.
And not just the Mausers but in all of my rifles. That gives me the most accuracy.... but that is just how I do it. Other folks may feel differently.
