I need help finding an extended mount for this Mauser 35 Remington.

I need to move the front ring BACK about 1.5 inches and for the life of me I cannot recall if this is a 95 action??? but I'm finding squat in mounts to move the front ring back far enough.

    ANY help?
    God Bless

    Consider a longer scope?

My buddy's rifle and was my first suggestion but he has umpteen scopes now and would rather not unless it's the only option.

    Thanks

Extension rings? Probably pretty spendy for a set, but that is what they were designed for.

Personally, I always went with a one piece Leupold base on the small ring Mausers; that way the hole spacing would fit either type of base.

o k, I think I didn't phase this correctly. WHAT BASE (model and mfg) will FIT this action to allow us to mount a scope back further? I don't know what to order or what will fit this rifle and there ARE no local shops.

It needs to come back further than the weaver style extended base on the front would allow it to.

God Bless and a continued thank you.

See if they make a picatinny rail for your mauser. Has more seating slots in them and you should be able to move the scope back getting a better sight picture. I'm looking for one on my #1 ruger in 45-70. Frank

That is exactly what I had hoped someone could supply a manufacturer and model number for. I see nothing looking myself for such and had hoped someone had and was using one and could point me in the right direction.

brownells has weaver extension rings that will fit your bases, but i dont think your going to get more than about 3/4" out of them. a scope with some decent eye relief is the proper answer.

It looks to be a 95/96 small ring Mauser. The bases you have are fine. Here is an extension ring that will fit those bases:

    http://www.brownells.com/optics-moun....aspx?psize=96

But the extension is only 3/4". I don't think you will find 1.5" extension rings anywhere.

This will probably work, and would give you a lot more mounting options:
