    Black powder .32 S&W question.

I have a couple of BP .32 S&W short top breaks. I bought some 32 S&W shorts to fire in these guns. I have a couple of guns in .32 S&W long that I load a wadcutter load in BP for. Comparing a factory loaded .32 S&W short round next to an unloaded .32 S&W long case they have the same overall length. If I put my wadcutter bullet in the .32 S&W long case seated flush the space for powder is the same as the loaded .32 S&W short case. Does anyone see any reason I shouldn't shoot these wadcutter rounds loaded with BP in my guns that are S&W short? It would be nice to have only one load for all the guns, even though a couple are smokeless.

As long as the wadcutters chamber without resistance and are loaded with black powder, I see no problem with your elegant solution.
