    Picked up some tin

Found some tin for a decent price. The make up of alloy is: 96.5Sn, 3.0Ag, 0.5Cu. How would you guys incorporate this into casting alloy? I just use regular wheel weights with nothing added. Mostly I shoot 124 gr for my 9mm and 357 mild loads and rcbs 35-200 in 35 rem and 357mag.
Also would this be a good material to trade for some wheel weights or sell it out right? What would be the asking price? Ingots are about 4.5 pounds or there about.

It is worth around $10 a pound, $20.00 retail. I like an equal amount of tin to antimony, balanced alloy. So add two percent to your COWWs. You should be at 95/2.5/2.5 as there is about .5% tin in the COWWs.

If you're happy shooting straight WW, trade it for something. The asking price would be at least what you paid for it plis whatever it takes to get nearer to the current market value, if that's where you want to go. It sounds like babbit. Find out which type, maybe hit RotoMetals site for a ballpark retail price.

I wonder about the composition you quoted. It only totals 99%. The silver content seems very high. Not that you can do much with it but there is 40 dollars of silver in each of your ingots.

I'm guessing it's from a wave soldering machine.

There is around $40 worth of silver in each ingot. Good luck getting it out. Regardless, each one of your ingots would retail for around $100.00. I would keep it and use it. Will make a nice alloy.

    I made a mistake it;s 96.5 % tin.
If there was a way to get the silver out with out destroying tin that would be great. But yeah, there is a lot of silver in that alloy.
