    Casting Weather Is Back!

    Casting weather is back.

I have cast around 400 41s and 300 38s the past three days.

Probably going to do some 30s and 375s tomorrow.

Thinking about ordering a new mold for the 44.

I really like the 429421. It consistently shoots around 3/4" at 25 yards.

Yep, it's getting to be cool enough to cast. I generally cast enough boolets in winter to get me through the rest of the year.
Enjoy both the casting and shooting so bring it on.

Oh Yeah, a cool front is supposed to follow this rain we are having today (Friday) and I got a brand new mould, cleaned prepped and ready to go. Planning to get up early Saturday morning and start casting a bunch of 9 mm boolits. I got empty brass and high hopes that if I bribe some fellows who shoot 9mm with a couple boxes of reloads they will score me some wheel-weights. Running low and my long time supplier has gotten out of the tire business. Free ammo for wheel-weights might just encourage a bucket or two.

Yes I have been casting mostly 167 grain ,4535 the past couple of weeks . I have 147 pounds on sorted and lube bullets ready to go . I might hit 200 pounds when it is all sorted and weighed .Marvin

It was 98 today in my drive way--not really my idea of casting weather.

Fall is a great time to stock up on lead and cast all the slugs you'll need till next fall.

It is--the temperature quoted was observed in my driveway at 1:10 PM Yesterday. But it was only 90 down at the beach.

I don't enjoy casting in the heat but if I need bullets I cast anytime of the year.
You will learn far more at the casting, loading, and shooting bench than you ever will at a computer bench.
