Help ID Mold bullet Ideal #32359

Bought a grab bag of molds and one of them is the Ideal 32359. Normally .323 is 8MM Mauser but this looks like a pistol bullet. Looks like a wad cutter with a small point about 1/2 the bullet dia extending from the flat about 1/8" Need help with this one as I cannot find it in any of my books. Thanks

My Lyman CB Handbook shows the 32359 as a rather ordinary looking FRN-PB with 3 lube grooves. Nothing distinctive at all. Wgt. @115 gr. and top punch is 295. FWIW.

Think Lyman made that little gem for the 8mm Nambu. I had one and traded it to Crazy Mark./beagle

Lyman's HandBook of Cast Bullets on page 133 say 32359 is "A favorite for .32 Ideal cartridges and for large barrel .32-40's with 4 grains of Unique."

Picture looks like a normal bullet with 3 grease grooves plain base...Terry

    deemakjack:

...to whichI would add, it was cataloged from at least 1897 (Ideal Handbook no.9) through 1955 (HB #40), after about 1927 as separate blocks and handle; then resumed in 1958 (possibly for the Nambu) through 1978 (the last four years as a special-order item).

John, it was the 32362 which is an 83 gr rn that I load for my friend for him 8mm Nambu's. Sounds like that 32359 mould he has is modified per all my info on that mould. It shows it to be like a 3118 except for the fact it has one more grease/crimp groove. Mark
