point me out a good .22?

Anyone make a good .22 springer, moderate velocity, that does NOT have hi-vis fiber optic 'glow' sights?
I'd buy an RWS 34, but they now have those crude glow sights.

I really don't want to break the bank with this purchase either.
I don't want to buy used, though I love the old rifles quality. Unless you know the seller, you never know how the rifle was treated.

Give us a ball park figure that would "Break the Bank" to start.

I hate the fire optics as well.Crummy sight picture.Best option is a used RWS 34 or 48.Unless some of the Chinese clones have good irons (i think they also have fiber optics)i think you are out of luck. The HW30s has good sights but in 22 the velocity is pretty mild. The HW50 is a little faster. The HW95 is about the speed for a good hunting 22.

    What is "moderate velocity"?
A springer is likely a 800-900 fps gun.
I have a Crosman co2 that delivers 840 fps through my chrono.
I would recommend looking on Amazon or Ebay when actually buying one.
I have found the same rifles on there at 20-40% less than Pyramid Air.

Moderate for a 22 springer is the 700 fps range.

Moderate for a springer is 15-16 FPE...velocity dependent on pellet weight...

    About $300.
    600 -700 fps....22
Prefer European, but would consider Chinese.

I think the manufacturers are making a serious mistake not offering iron sights. Fiber optics might be fine on a defense shotgun or a 9mm carbine, but not a precision rifle.

Go to Pyramid Air and you can search for caliber, velocity and/or price specific guns. Seems to be quite a few 22s meeting your criteria.
