Don't actually know, but since the M48 is a shorter M98 design, I expect that
the ejector is unchanged. The extractor MAY be a bit shorter, but might still
work, if the collar to bolt head distance is still the same (shortening of the bolt
being accomplished aft of the collar.

Hopefully someone has a M48 to compare directly.

If it was easy, anybody could do it.

I will check it out and get back to you.
The Ejector is the same as is the Bolt Sleeve and bolt cocking piece, or should I say it will work.
I have both rifles and spare parts.

The Yugo extractor will not work on a 98 bolt.
    BUT WAIT.
It could be modified if you want to go to all the trouble.
The tab that locks it in to the bolt head is wider on a Yugo, and the 98 bolt lug front is more forward on a 98.
But the Yugo extractor could be ground a bit.
But Personnally, it is not worth the trouble seeing as 5 million 98's were made, and the parts are availible.
But that is a different story if you were shortening a 98 bolt to fit something like a 45 ACP.
    Yes, it has been done.

The 1898/09 Peruvian Mauser was an intermediate lenght action and it had an ejector longer than a VZ 24 etc.
