This forum clearly favors ingenuity. I think you should post photos here of your masterpiece but consider listing it on the most popular of public sites. There's more value reaching an audience who will marvel at your accomplishment, and want to pay for it, then someone who has capability of duplicating it. A 10 day or 2 week auction so viewers could stew over the uniqueness. As a seller, you will benefit for your hard work and creativity. I have the Magma Star, Magma Air Attachment, and bullet feeder for a few diff. calibers. I think $800 would be a bargain based on your description

Smooth and predictable for the time it ran--looks well designed. I'd like to know how this sale goes for you.

That sure is a smooth setup Hatch.

I'd like to have a go at making something like this for my projectiles. It all seems easy enough, a die, a punch and a moving plate to drop the projectiles into the sizing die before the punch comes down.

My current setup is a cheap lee press and sizing die. I did have a bullet feeder hooked up to it, but the time spent filling the tubes was the same as picking them up a few at a time and feeding them in.

That video isn't my setup. Its wyattjames.

He sent me the video and I just posted it for him.

My setup is just like his except I run a shorter cycle.

1.8 sec cycle. 2000 boolits per hour.

2000/hour is pretty nice, hard to keep the projectiles up to it fast enough!

I use tubes that hold about 50 boolits eat and I have ten tubes.
I sit and load all ten tubes then start the machine. I load tubes as it runs. I can keep up most of the time

That's a good way of doing it. Load it up, then size 500 in one sitting

Mine was a lee bullet feeder and one of their sizing dies. The issue i had was loading projectiles in the tube while moving the handle. I did alright that way, but i couldn't keep up doing two things at once. If the arm was automated, there is a possibility i could.

My daughter who is 8 would come up and help load tubes up.
She would put gloves on and load away. We would spend a couple hours running the star to finish a days worth of production on the master caster.

Glad she enjoys spending the time and helping daddy out.

I try to get my wife to assist but she declines....... Yet my setup is not as simple as loading up tubes and fun to watch as it runs doing it's thing. It is more of pick up projectile, run through sizer, pick up another, run through sizer. It is really not a fun job, but you do what you must. Yet she doesn't have a problem shooting said projectiles down range when she comes down.

I have actually setup my sizer in the living room, so i do it while we watch tv, not that the princess totally approves of this. I still wake up in the mornings, so it can't annoy her THAT much.
