    Like a bad smell, Ben Cannon (of Gunpal infamy) is back. . .

    I found this in one of my e-mail boxes--it's several months old and apologies if y'all already had heard or knew about.

    Ben Cannon, formerly of Gpal scam, is back at it again. . .

    But I guess word got out pretty fast because less than one tenth of one percent of the stated fundraising goal was actually sent in.

    I also see in a couple of other 2A areas and circles where he is slowly weaseling his way back in.

    We have a very long, very epic thread here on the entire Ben Cannon/Gunpal/Gpal mess. It's a sticky. Ken (45Nut) and the mods kept the discussion going as a public service announcement for the entire gun community when Calguns and a few other sites kept selectively editing derogatory posts against Cannon or arbitrarily banning members who'd been hosed by their hero boy.

    So for any new members here NOT familiar with Ben Cannon, be advised that he is about as dishonest as they come. He's claimed to be a commercial pilot with turbine ratings, an engineer, a millionaire (while he was living at home with his parents), an exotic foreign sports car owner, etc etc.

    Beware.

    They said it all.
    We need somebody/something to keep the government (cops and bureaucrats too) HONEST (by non government oversight).

    Every "freedom" (latitude) given to government is a loophole in the rule of law. Every loophole in the rule of law is another hole in our freedom. When they even obey the law that is. Too often government seems to feel itself above the law.

    We forgot to take out the trash in 2012, but 2016 was a charm! YESSS!

    Is he smart enough to be indicted for fraud now? (He claimed to be too stupid before.)
    I remember reading about this BS. I'm amazed he's still going under the same username? I would have thought he would do everything he could to distance himself. Hmmm, maybe he really is dumb as rock salt.....

    Watching that all from the sidelines was painful and amusing at the same time. I feel sorry for anyone that got burnt. But that whole thing played out like a soap opera.
