Well wayne, get yourself a good mushroom book for your area and see what is growing in your area...... Only way to learn is do your homework, and get out there and climb some hills.... Just like casting boolits... First you read, then you try... Now go get em....

Find someone gullible and expendable - teenage neighbor comes to mind- to try them first. I had one morel in my back yard last year, none this year.

Morels are pretty easy to ID, look at the pics of false morels and you will easily see the differences. I had a ribeye steak with a morel garlic butter sauce last spring. Friends that were over said the sauce was better than the steak!

I read this hoping for a good thread on running a forge. But this is about foraging (searching) for food. Still, I like to eat!!!!!!!!

Absolutely..... Technology is supposed to be advanced enough to know what we are thinking...................

Actually you probably did get it right but the auto correct (designed by a generation who have no idea what foraging is) thought it was a misspelling and "corrected" it.................. Of course I'm supprised it even recognized the lost art of "forging"...................
