Sportsman Warehouse-Medford, Oregon --- No powder

Was up in Medford, Oregon yesterday visiting Sportsman Warehouse. I was going to buy a 4 pound keg of 2400 if they had any. NOPE!

This was the total of their powder inventory:

    1 each 4 pound keg of 50BMG
    1 each 1 pound can of Rx17
    1 each 1 pound can of Rx22

That was it. They did have primers though they weren't fully stocked. Fortunately I'm not in dire need of powder or primers but I wanted to stay ahead of the curve.

I walked into Gander Mt. in Huntsville, AL about 3 weeks ago. They only had three 1 lb. containers in the entire store. ( of powder that I couldn't use ) WOW.

    Welcome to Medford, Dutch
They've had that 50 cal powder for a while. You went on a better day than I have. I try to go a couple of times a week. Primers are pretty good but, not cases to speak of. And NO 22's!

Just got back from Sportsman Warehouse (Sun) and I bought that can of RL22. They added about 4-5 lb of 4000MP but, nothing in the pistol/med burning powders

The RL22 will go in my 6mm Imp but, I rarely shoot it.

Our Sportsmans has been getting some stuff, nothing major and its been hit and miss for them. They said that they have no control over what they get, it just shows up.

The sportsmans here, is one of two places that actually even sells powder, but they most days have bmg in 1 pounders, anyother powder generally sells out the day it arrives. It has been around 9 months since they have had a drop of 2400, and one 8 pound of red dot thal lives at my house is the only thing I have seen bigger than a one pound container in probably 2 years.
A friend of mines son, used to me the manager of the gun counter at the Medford sportsmans, I should call and see if he still works there.

There are decent folks on armslist that will trade for what you need if you have something to offer in exchange.

Ammoseek.com is pretty good at ferreting out what's available. But you best not let any grass grow under your feet or it'll be gone. Have to pay Haz Mat charges though.

I resent it when other people try to inflict their ideas of betterness on me. I don’t think they know. And I can’t see any authority on the horizon that’s got any answers that seem worthwhile. FZ

Dutchman, Check some of the smaller stores in the Medford area.
Powder moves out of the Sportsmans store as fast as it comes in.
I`ve had to buy powder online lately. Have to be watching the sites and order as soon as you find some.
Prices are still up there, but if you need powder.....dale

I saw 2, 8 pounders today at sportsmans, that makes 3 in as many years. lol
These two were 50 bmg powder, but at least I know the bigger containers still exist.
I still and stop for powder, even though I don't need any, well I would pick up some more unique if it ever shows up.
