I think it is BB dry tumble. Some put those plastic bb's in with their powder and bullets. I don't use them but some swear by them.

Try shaking a little more to remove excess powder.

Mixed Smokes traffic white with some traffic orange. Then did some with traffic white and flame red. It's a fun way to kill some time in this crappy weather.Click image for larger version.

    My first batch PC

I tried some of Smoke's powders, Carolina Blue for the first batch.

I smashed one of them to make sure it worked well.

Just did ten at first, to make sure I had everything right and working.

Not bad, a few small spots where I guess I didn't quite coat it enough. Next one will be better I'm sure.

My first batch of powder coated boolits. 158 grain Lee plain base cast of 100% COWW and black BB's. Smoke's John Deere Green. The coat looks kinda thin. May have to shake them some more next time. Tried the hammer test on the vise anvil and no flaking. Bought an oven thermometer to test Wal Mart toaster oven. It had to be set at about 330 deg. F to get 400. preheated oven five minutes. Baked for 25 min. because I was unsure if the oven was up to temp. Comments?

Just finished second batch. Shook them in JD Green about twice as long as the first batch. Looks like a nicer, thicker coating of powder. Put them in the oven and this time included my Taylor oven thermometer. It took a full twenty minutes to get the preheated oven up to 375 degrees F. I started timing then and turned oven off at 20 minutes. By then the temp was just below 400 F. They are cooling now. When my camera battery is charged I'll get a pic. I ordered a better camera with macro lens. But for this I'll just have to continue with Olympus pocket cam.

Clear with a bit o color

Shake n Bake, 1 tablespoon of gloss clear to 1/4 (+/-) teaspoon of gloss black. Nothing exotic. I think I need a few more sample color packs from smoke4320 so I can color code my bullets without inviting too many conversation/s at the range.

Jyst heated them up to 140 in the little toaster oven 50 at a time and dropped them into 2 small teaspoons of powder and swirled for as long as I could...

Then I pulled them out with nitrite gloves and twirled them in my fingers until they were coated all over. Put them on the cookie sheet to bake for 20 and they came out like glass.. Looks like I sprayed them.
