Same observation as you. My favorite Carolina Blue. Traffic Purple is my second favorite.

Here's mine for the 460S&W in an Encore. I'll never buy any HF powder again. This stuff makes shake and bake a dream come true, thanks Smoke. Also many thanks to daloper for the tutorial on shrinking my file so I could post. BTW, RP, that granddaughter is a doll. With a smile like that she will upstage any photo she is in.Attachment 198445

    Question TV version

Hardened Polymer coating (TV version) has allowed this bullet to pass through steel twice,
...and it will be reloaded again before the season is over.
    Can we do that?

My wife is a rabid Seahawk Football fan so I made some 9mm Seahawk bullets for her pistol.

The red 44's were shot with trailboss through wood pallets and
The blue ones were from my 450 bushmaster with hot loads that hit rocks buried in the dirt at my shooting range and still held up.

I cast & coated some 200 gr 45 SWC tonight. I was trying a few different techniques to remove excess powder. I need to find a happy medium as I thought my first ones yesterday were too goopy & thick and these seem a little thin & blotchy.

DT, HF is a cheap low-quality powder, hard to get good result DTing. black airsoft BB's might help, I've put boolits and HF red in a vibrating polisher for 15 min and got OK results

What powder are you using? It looks like you beat up the boolits getting to powder off. BB's might help you get a thinner more even coat.

These are completely covered with 50/50 smokes black and clear. I think they would look good in my BO cartridges

Just a guess here but it looks like your oven may not be hot enough or no fan ( really need a convection oven) .
A good tsat added to your oven to confirm the dial or readout on oven is a good thing
