Found them! Victory over technology! Here is the amount of bend that there is in the ejector shaft that I need to straighten. I put the RCBS box there for size, I assume an RCBS shell holder box is pretty standard for us to know. There is only a small bend in the ejector shaft, just enough to keep it from locking up.

This is what I was trying to explain in the other string.

BTW, I have no idea of how Popperts does business but I have both called and left a message and e-mailed them without a reply. Granted, they may be on vacation, it is August.

If it were me I'd make a fixture out of two pieces of aluminum or steel with a holed bored through the parting line just the diameter of the rod and then put the rod in and use my arbor press to to close the fixture around the rod. That way I'd be reasonably certain that the rod was straight again.

I would cut 2 V blocks out of maple(or if you have real steel v blocks, use them), put the shaft between them, roll it around to the high spot in the middle, and whack it gently with a plastic hammer. If you have a dial indicator, you can use that to monitor how progress is going. Just be careful to hit the spot with the top of the bend, and go easy with the hammer! Only have about 2" between the blocks, so you don't bend the threaded part, just have the smooth section in between the blocks. Sorta Bubba, but I straightened a sporterized Krag barrel somebody whacked against a tree after missing a deer, that had about 1 1/2" drop at the muzzle with v blocks and a copper hammer, adn stopped hitting when the dial indicator registered less than .005" wobble. Owner test fired it, said it was about 2" low at 50 yds, good for minute of deer. BTW, it was his brother that bent the barrel, anger management problem child....
PS: The arbor press idea would not account for springback(I used to bend conduit for a living) when pressure was released, but you could use v blocks, and the press for a more controlled squeeze than the plastic face hammer.

I have to admit, I have never held an I frame. It looks like yours is in good shape. A very petite piece. I wonder if the ejector rod got bent on someone's head?

I did think it significant that the Gunbroker add stated that employees of such and such Police Department could not bid. I'm assuming confiscated in the commission of a crime.

People do not believe me but when I was in my teens I bought a .32 HnR breaktop from an add in the back of the Rifleman. Boston pd was selling confiscated handguns. I recall it was $10 if it was guaranteed to go bang and $15 for a selected piece. I got a pretty good one and shot it with a tiny dose of BE/Red dot and buckshot in the basement. I sure wish I had got an I frame. That looks like a real interesting revolver.

I like the idea, but if I knew how to accomplish it and had the proper tools I probably wouldn't be a Psychologist!

If you have access to an arbor press, I think this will straighten nicely with
a pair of wooden support blocks and a hard wood bearing block in the center
with a groove that matches the diameter of the ejector rod to avoid a point
load on the top. Care and rolling it on a glass plate or similar flat surface
should get you there with some patience.

Went to second grandson's first birthday party, have been PM'ing to get Sam (Gray Wolf) a mould he needs, and have cut down a bunch of .40 S&W brass to anneal tomorrow to use in my new to me .451 swage die (Herters). Stuck in traffic at the tunnel on the way home. I haven't had time to do anything with it and don't want to do it tired. Not sure but might be reading Scripture in Church tomorrow, need to practice that more. Plan on doing it tomorrow afternoon while monitoring the fire to cook the ribs.
