    which lights in next buy?

I am going to start a buy in september to be ready enough before Christmas to keep me and the buyers from stressing over delivery dates. I will ship no later than the 1st week of November so buyers will have time to send them onto their final destinations.

We have enough interest in the 9V emergency lights so those will go. Which other ones do you guys want more of?

    Original
    Zoomie
    Side Click
    Headlamp
Hunter (the one with the 3 emitters like the kill light)
    Big light
    Monster Light

Little zoomies are a hit for Christmas.

have you considered a 2cell AAA style light? Something similar to the Streamlight Stylus Pro?

This has come up a few times and 2*AA or 2*AAA lights just are not a good match with LEDs. The Forward Voltage (Vf) of an LED is generally 3.2-3.4 volts. This is the amount of voltage needed to "light" an LED. As such, when under that voltage, you have to use a boost driver to increase the voltage and you decrease the battery life commensurately. This is why I don't do a 2*AA instead of the single AA zoomie. 2*AA is still under the Vf of the LED so is only marginally more efficient than 1*AA and takes up enough room that an 18650 Li light is smaller form factor and better performance as those cells are 4.2V and capable of 4-5 amp draw. AA is usually not capable of even single amp and certainly not over 1.5

AAAs are even worse, the amount of energy stored in them is tiny compared to any other form factor and the current draw possible is generally less than 1/2 an Amp. That makes for very poor battery life in most LED applications.

The shorter answer is yes I have considered it, but no they have never been something I thought I could improve on other offerings enough to make viable.

Originals are always a good buy, I am sure I could be in for a few of those once again. I bought the Big light instead of the hunter, at the time I felt that's what I wanted, it wasn't, so
Originals and the Hunter is my choice.

Have any pics of the headlamp? I need one that holds up at work. I've been going through them quickly as of late. I'd be interested in the original and hunter as well.

How long will a headlamp (Hunter),run on a set of batteries? If it's used daily?
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Headlamp I ran the first time was AA and will last an hour or two depending on how bright you have it set. We have the option of scaling up to an 18650 and doing one that will last all day. Using IMR cells that are now available it is much safer than the earlier ICR protected cells so I feel more confident in offering that option. Until the IMR cells came down in price, I was leary of offering an 18650 headlamp as strapping a fire hazard to my head didn't hold a lot of interest.

I have the original heal lamp but would get another with the 18650 batteries.

I love the hunter with green emitter I have and like to have another. I'm in for several of any light Will offers, I'm a light junkie.

Definitely upgrade my headlamp to the 18650 battery.

I also would be interested in seeing the headlamp with the bigger battery.

I have an led lenser (p3 afs I think) single aaa light that is much more compact than the zoomies. This allows me to use it as an everyday light clipped in my pocket where space is at a premium. They claim 75 lumens which is probably optimistic. None the less it is plenty bright and easily the most often used light I have.

Got anything waterproof? Enough to throw in the bottom of my kayak without wrapping it in 3 "dry" bags?

The originals with O-rings intact have been to the bottom of my pool for hours without any leaks. Zoomies are not waterproof but originals are to reasonable depths and certainly enough to survive in a kayak.

I would LOVE one or two more side clicks like the one I just purchased from the last buy. I would also be interested in the head lamp and also a big or monster light.
