    Harbor Freight gun =nice shock.........

Ok...Who else has had their pc gun light them up....I put my hand down close to the boolits I was coating to "scoot" one a little farther away from the others so it would coat better....I didn't think to step off the switch.....I think my rear end is still flashing like turn signals.... It got me about 10 times before I could think of what I needed to do to stop it....It will throw a spark probably an inch and a half...Should have known better......

A little electricity never hurt anybody, just wait until you get lit up by a close lightning strike............

You met 11KV face to face. Just be glad they put a current limiter circuit in there (so I have read!). Not been there myself.....yet.

Very low amperage but will DEFINITELY wake you up in the morning.

And some guy on here was talking about using the 25KV HV supply (non-limited!) from an old color TV............."I don't think so , Tim!"

Remember, it is all in the eye/hand/foot coordination!!!!!!! HA.....ha.

I did just this week! I tried using the small diffuser just to check it out for myself and immediately didn't like it. Like you, without thinking, I just grabbed for the end of the gun to remove it without stepping off the switch. I felt it run from the hand that touched the tip straight through my chest and out the hand still holding the gun. One of many times in my life I said out loud to myself, "you idiot."

I don't think it's enough to actually hurt you, unless you hit something when you are flailing about... I thought I smelled burned earwax for a moment, though...I once worked as a mechanic in a tune-up shop years ago, and a fellow mechanic always said that the shock from electronic ignition wouldn't actually hurt you, but the hood latch would really hurt the back of your head. lol. I'd rate the pc gun right up there with electronic ignition, if not a little stiffer....

For those of us unfortunate enough to require an implanted device (defibrillator in my case) it's enough to kill you.

After having experienced the full "power" of the HF powder gun, I'd certainly suggest anyone wearing a medical device or anyone with a health condition that could affected by an electrical shock to be careful. For the rest of us the learning curve to not mess with the little metal rod coming out of the gun while you are using it is pretty rapid.....

Does this system have less amperage then a nine volt battery? Because even those have enough juice to kill you.

I got hit by a capacitor in a disposable camera once. We were making a poor mans stun gun. It was STUNNING!

9V directly across your bare exposed heart could stop it..............or start it!!!!!!! (Ask MacGyver!)

It makes me sick to see all the stupid movies where they are zapping some guy with a 12V car battery! Just cannot happen. Just because there are tons of sparks does not mean it will hurt you. And another one: someone hooks the 12V car battery to their car antenna to zap someone trying to mess with the antenna. Give me a break!

That cap in the camera was charged with the fly-back circuit to probably over 6-8KV to make the xenon flash tube fire. HF's electronic fly swatter uses the same circuit to charge the grid in the swatter.....uses 2 D cells to run it. Fun to zap mosquitos! And they have them on sale for $2.99 all the time. Even got one free with their freebee-coupon.

The stun guns I have generate a pulsing ~20KV and are nothing to mess with. The pulse is what gets you!
