Think powerful handguns are great if you are not shooting them. I find the 44 mag in my redhawk to be the limit for me. I did fire exactly two shots from a 450 casull. That was enough fun at the time. Frank

    Suicidal.
We need somebody/something to keep the government (cops and bureaucrats too) HONEST (by non government oversight).

Every "freedom" (latitude) given to government is a loophole in the rule of law. Every loophole in the rule of law is another hole in our freedom. When they even obey the law that is. Too often government seems to feel itself above the law.

We forgot to take out the trash in 2012, but 2016 was a charm! YESSS!

    If a .44 won't do it I don't want to be there.

My favorite is the S&W 500 Magnum. I usually shoot 25 - 50 rounds when I go to the indoor range. Some people come over and ask to try it. I don't load 'full power' loads but damn close to it I also love my newly acquired Ruger Super Alaskan 44 Magnum and my old Ruger GP100 357 Magnum.

i got the opportunity to play with one of those smith 500's once.
    the recoil was surprisingly manageable.
my raging bull 454 is not near as bad as i thought it would be either.
those smiths are beautiful but i cant afford two hand cannons...

Interesting that the picture of the Desert Eagle states the .50 AE but shows a .44 Mag in the picture.

You can always count on the news media to get it wrong.

If a 44 cant handle it, carry an 870 and be done with it...
