    James Garner Dead

FOXNEWS) — Actor James Garner, whose whimsical style in the 1950s TV Western “Maverick” led to a stellar career in TV and films such as “The Rockford Files” and his Oscar-nominated “Murphy’s Romance,” has died, police said. He was 86.
He was found dead of natural causes at his home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles Saturday evening, Los Angeles police officer Alonzo Iniquez said early Sunday.
Police responded to a call around 8 p.m. PDT and confirmed Garner’s identity from family members, Iniquez told The Associated Press.
There was no immediate word on a more specific cause of death. Garner had suffered a stroke in May 2008, just weeks after his 80th birthday.

He acted in a great many movies that I enjoy watching. The great escape, Murphy`s romance, Maverick (latest version) and Space cowboys are just a few of the roles he played in. Rest in peace Jim.Robert

Was just looking lately for the Rockford Files on DVD. Glad he lived to a good old age. Seemed like a great guy. RIP!

I enjoyed all his works, but my favorite was "The Streets of Laredo".

That was one of his better roles and he did a better job than I was initially able to give him credit for.

Just one point..... he actually died in July '14.

The date is printed in the corner of the page found by clicking on the link. Regardless, he is still a great loss.

Yes, but I was just watching "Streets of Laredo" a few weeks ago. Couldn't help but read the thread when someone posted on it.
