    MEC 400/12ga.

Never seen one of these. The one I saw yesterday was not complete as far as I can tell. Can someone post a picture of a complete MEC 400, from a couple different angles.
    Thanks

Had mine for years. It was really designed for paper hulls but way back remember I ordered something or another to be able to do plastics. Think I also got the gizmo to reprime with the little "caps" but don't think I ever used it. If the lower post doesn't do it for you I can probably take a few shots and post em' for you.

The plastic cases' crimp starter is completely different from the paper case starter. I rarely got a decent crimp with plastic cases and the paper case crimp starter.

Had 1 back in the early 1960`s. Loaded many a field shell on it. When the plastics were the only shell you could find, and they didn`t reload worth a darn on the MEC I sold it for a newer model 600.Robert

Does MEC still support the 400 line or is it history as far as factory support?
    regards,

    Hi,
Wow! You guys are rough! Picking on that little reloader! A MEC is a MEC and the people at MEC are pretty good at helping you out. I bet I could get it to load and the MEC machines make a nice shell!

That vintage is, in my experience, usually missing the sizing die that stays on until the finished shell is pressed out of it.
I've got a complete 400 in 20ga, if someone wants to pay shipping of around $35.00. Great for slug loaders.
