Winchester-made P14 Enfield rifle made in 1916... the 303 British chambered precursor to the Model 1917 30-06 that most of the Doughboys took to the trenches in 1918...
Mine was rebuilt by the British Army at their arsenal in Wheden in 1937 with a new stock and the removal of the volley sights.
The barrel is still immaculate and will give an honest 2" group at 100 yard with a load of 40gr IMR4895 pushing a 147gr Russian FMJ-BT pull-down. Using Sierra's 174gr Matchking with 44.5gr if IMR 4007SSC (Yes, I know the powder is being discontinued!!! ) I can get an honest 1.5" group.
Take that all you Garand photo posters...
Keep this up and I'll post a photo of a Garand in a polymer stock with a 7mm Mauser chambered barrel....I call it "The Heretic"...

Now that the Commonwealth question has been breached, how about some Enfields? Here's a few from WW I, WWII, Malaya, possibly Korea and the the India-Chinese boarder dispute.

Artful,
Lovely Enfields.
You still looking for a front sight to that little carbine? I'm thinking of picking the same setup for a Large-Ring Mauser Action just sitting on a shelf in my garage.

It's on the "to do" list
I've picked up a ladder sight to replace the "L" rear, but haven't mounted it yet and then the plan is to put a Scout rail,
thread the barrel get a pistol sized 45 caliber suppressor then pick a front sight to be tall enough to see over the can and remark the ladder sight for my normal 230 grain TC cast boolit trajectory.

i
Pair of Mosin's and a Yugo SKS I'm casting for.
I'm struggling with trying to get good accuracy out of the Mosin's, I may just give up and accept that they shoot minute of 5 gallon bucket and leave it at that. I'm sure a big part of the problem is me, old eyes and iron sights start getting iffy after a while. But I hate to bubba up a classic milsurp just so I can get the accuracy I want out of it.
So I may leave the Mosin's as a couple of nice wall hangers and play with the SKS.
Full auto and/or suppressed. Sorry about the Remmy bolt, but at least it's suppressed.
