    H&R 1871 model 157

I've never been that happy w/the trigger, but I've gotten used to it. However, it has seemingly gotten suddenly worse! I dry fired it, which locked the action up for a while. When I got it opened, it seems to have a much heavier trigger pull to the point groups are suffering. What(& how) can be done to an H&R trigger?

There is a lot of great info on H&R's over at greybeard outdoors. They have a sticky with about anything you would want.to know.

Possible you chipped the edge of the trigger engagement surfaces. Have to take it apart and see, not a hard job but the pins only come out one way and you should use slave pins to put it back together or it's a real fight. Don't dry fire those guns.
