I forced some (copper) gator checks on some commercial cast .430 dia 240 gr. bevel base SWC bullets (with "Blue" lube). Lubed the bullets with Lee liquid Alox and crimped the Gas Checks on by running them thru a Lee .430 dia sizing die. They came out looking "good". Added a coat of Lee Liquid Alox and let dry. Loaded them in .44 Mag Cases at .44 Mag performance level and shot them. They performed well and did not lead the bore in limited testing. Anyone else utilized commercial cast bevel base Boolits and gas checks this way?
