Think about this, what if you cast 9 balls per pour and didn't have to cut them apart...

That would be awesome...as long as the sprue is minimal and they drop at .300

Definitely interested depending on price. Pics would be nice too (once a prototype is ready).
The design is finished, waiting on my machinist to get some free time to run it. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

The most useful buckshot sizes in my opinion are #0 and #1. #0 is the largest that will stack nicely and #1 as well. Both are real good at things buckshot is used for. I would love both of those.
Great!!! Looking forward to seeing your prototype and your results casting with it.
I'd be in for a .310 - .311 in a 6 - 9 Cavity. This would be for .32 Rifles.

Once I get this done for #1 buckshot, the design can be manipulated to whatever shot size is needed by changing two dimensions. I met with my Machinist today, we are going to try and get the prototype ran within the next week or so. I also met with another machine shop to discuss plans for a group buy and he is in as well. Question to you guys, what mold handles do you think would work best for a 9 cavity mold that is 5" long? I am thinking H&G 6 cavity mold handles and I also have an idea for a "unique" mold handle application that hopefully works, $21 and available at any hardware store near you.

If you don't adapt to Lee handles like most every mold maker, you are faced with crazy expensive mold handles.
I would vote Lee Commercial handles as well. Anyone, anywhere can get them and they are a known qty and cheap. Stuff at hardware stores changes.

Duly noted, it is actually designed for Lee handles now.

If this gets going then i'm in for a #1 buck mould

^Deal. I will start a group buy or group buy discussion once I get to that point. I might need some help doing that as I am still the "***" on the forum.

You can send the prototype to me and I'll test it out for you...

Only if you send me the test results in the finished state for "load trials".

I'm really hoping this one works out. For whatever reason I have a keen interest in a #1 buck mold.
Count me in for a #1 buck and if it goes beyond this I would also take a 00 buck too. jroc

Were you able to minimize the sprue? That's really the only variable that needs to be addressed IMO. The rounder they drop the truer they are going to fly.
