Caught a 28" walleye on Chippewa Flowage last week

Released it after a few snaps. Came to the boat chasing one of my deep diving crank baits but wouldn't take it. Returned early the next day and he/she hit same lure about three feet from boat.Attachment 172424

I'm having a replica made since I do not believe I will ever come close to anything that size in my life time. When it came to the boat the first day, my buddies didn't believe me (told me it was a probably a Northern). The following day, they were with me when I caught it. They were speechless, and I drank lots of their beer in celebration.

I think that is the key to good fishing. Bring along plenty of buddies to finance the beer!

Very nice walleye. All I managed this week were a few catfish.
