Interest in Mihec 0.512 caliber 525gr LFN for 500 Linebaugh/50 Alaskan?

I'm checking for interest in the above boolit.

We would use Zeus's previous boolit nose shape drawn by 45.2.1 from here:
    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...with-Cramer-HP

Im thinking we could do 2 cavity or 4 cavity, plain base or gas checked, solid or Cramer hollow point.

    What would you order?

I'm interested - especially if it is similar to CP's 525 gr bullet. I'd go with the 4 cavity, gas checked. Would like the option of solids or hollow point pins.
    Thanks,
    Tim

I would buy a gas check, 4 cavity that would preferably cast solid or HP.

I'm hoping we can get the numbers to make this work.

If need be, I'll buy extras to make it run

Is this offered in a 502-504 option? Or could it be sized down That far? I would be in for one.

    Bill,
I'd go for a 2 cavity with the round hollow points and a set of blanks for solids made in brass.....

I would be interested in a two cavity mold with hollow point pins.

How many do we need and what flexibility would we have. For instance, I'm not interested in HP and haven't made up my mind gc or pb. I'm leaning towards 2 cavity plane base, no hollow points. Any idea on cost$ It might be easier for me to just order one from LBT. Thoughts?

I would be interested in a 525gr PB with solid and HP options. Nose length (crimp to meplat) would have to be .400" or under to fit my .500 Linebaugh.

A 2 cavity flat point shipped is going to be around $100 and it'll be made of brass so a IMHO and experience a higher quality mold than LBT makes. I've had several LBT molds and they are one of the most fragile molds out there, though the bullet designs are excellent.

The main trouble with MP is lead times, this mold may be 2 years + in the making.

If you want something sooner, just go to Mountain molds, dial in your design and you'll have a reasonably priced custom mold cut to your specs in a reasonable amount of time.

To me the reason to go with and wait for a Mihec is if you want what is IMHO the finest hp molds produced today.
