these were neat little guns, with slick actions, and good triggers, turned into single shots
I bought one in 223 with the intentions of turning it into a 6x47 rifle, then realized I wouldn't ever get it done.

Didn't some get made with left hand actions after it was realized that it was more convenient for right handed handgun shooters to keep their hand on the grip and work the bolt with the left hand?

I've never seen a left hand XP100. I do have a XP100R in 35 Rem. It is very accurate and is a real thumper on deer. Mine is the 5 shot repeater.

There was a left hand pistol. possibly Savage or Weatherby. Good question to post on Specialty Pistols.

The "Standard" XP100 *is* the left handlers model,,,,,,,,. What a great firearm!

Artful, yep the grey stocked one in your pics. I've only seen one and guess they only made them for a short time. Thanks for the help. Frank

One advantage of the XP for a righty is that there is no need to remove the right hand from the grip, just reach across and work the bolt with the left. No buttstock to get in the way.

If anyone has one they have been thinking of getting rid of shoot me a pm. Don't care if the barrel is shot out.

I had one, rebarrelled it to 30-223 and put a Redfield Olympic sight on it. The 30-223 is basically identical to the 30 Herret, but the bolt doesn't have to be modified for the 30-223. Nice Silhouette gun - but stolen along with some others...

Dunno about the XP100 but my Contender is quite a handful to shoot with the 35 Rem barrel in place. Very accurate but for some reason I generally settle for a 3-shot group.
