I'd rather not modify my existing and original sprue plates on a number of Lyman molds. Looking for a source for replacement sprue plates with grooves (or troughs) next to sprue hole. Anyone???

Get ahold of Red River Rick, he should have a vendor spot in our vendor forum, I bought a Lyman 4 cav sprue plate with trough and Lee style cam handle from him for a pair of Lyman's I've got.
What an improvement in use and quality!
Resurrecting an old thread for the purpose of updating sources for the sprue plates with trough.
The Lyman plates are just ok.
After getting an old Lyman 4 cav mold that had a custom sprue plate with the trough cut into it (thicker plate than the standard Lyman 4 cav plate), I'm looking to replace a couple of problem Lyman plates.
Red River Rick is not among us any more (at least I don;t think so)... Any other place to get these????

In the future, perhaps you should check before posting wrong information.
BTW, I do have replacement sprue plates, with trough, for either the Lyman D/C or 4 cavity moulds.
