Range lead - smelted or raw

We are in the process of separating the lead from our rubber berm at our range. I'm guessing we will have between 30,000 to 60,000 lbs of lead when done. We are wondering how you guys would like it. We where thinking ether around .50-.65 a lb shipped "as is", meaning jackets and bullets just how its recovered from the rubber. Or $1.00 per LB shipped for smelted bars. Just wondering how people would want the lead. Im not 100% for sure on the un-smelted price but its close. Thanks guys
It's not the size of your brass that matters, It's how you tumble it.

I would be interested in smelted bars of a pound or larger, in reinforced medium flat- rate box quantities.
You can probably sell the copper scrap for more than enough to cover the cost of the propane to melt it.

I would like both. I would try the unmelted to see how economical it would be to do it myself & would also try a smelted box 60# m/l ea.
    Thanks

If you clean up into ingots which will end-feed into a common 20-lb. Botto-pour pot, and work up a standard, medium flatrate box with 60+ pounds, I think alot of people would go for that. I myself would think real hard about budgeting a box a month to accumulate a supply I could blend with RotoMetals Linotype about 1:3 or 1:4 as needed to get a 13-15 BHN general purpose alloy.

That is best for me. I have no problem putting in a little work on my end to cut a decent chunk off the price per pound.

I would prefer smelted into ingots. Do you have any idea on the approximate BHN of the lead after it is smelted ?

    I don't know the hardness, I don't have a tester.
And yes it would be $1.00 per pound shipped. We will have a set size of box and that's what you buy. Thinking about using small flat rate boxes. But this is the first time shipping lead so I'm going to talk to guys that have done it befor to get some shipping tips. I'm thinking I'm going to make a mold that casts a bar that fits perfect in a flat rate box. Not one big bar but like maybe 2lb bars that stack perfect.

I've bought a fair amount of lead that was shipped via USPS. Best packaging so far used multiple ingots that fit inside a small flat rate box, then the multiple small boxes fit snugly inside the larger flat rate box. Packer only had to buy tape for the outer box.

I would love some of that 'as is' stuff. The price break along with future sales of jackets to help cover the cost would be great.
