It's known here on cast bullets forums, that Berettas' M9/92FS factory barrels have large inconsistent groove diameters. In fact, I understand that 9mm pistols in general are hard to cast and size for.
I am considering having some upgrades done to my M9 so I can shoot competitions that require Lead Boolits. Local Steel, and Centerfire Stages of Bullseye.
If I am to proceed, I must first face the issue of a barrel replacement. I have a KKM in my glock 22 and love this barrel. I emailed KKM to find out the groove diameter of their National Match barrel. However, this barrel will need to be fitted by a pistolsmith.
Does this sound feasible or sensible? And would anyone know of a pistolsmith specializing in Beretta M9/92FS?
Thanks,
Bruce
