    AR Barrel question

I bought a barrel from Shadow Ops last year, it's listed as a 556 socom profile, 16" 1 in 7, I finally got all the pieces together and started assembling it this week, I just noticed the barrel is stamped L .223 1/7 , now I'm wondering do I really have a 5.56 chamber or is it a .223 Rem ?? any help would be greatly appreciated

The markings would indicate you have a 223 chambered barrel. You best bet is to call Shadow Ops and ask. Let us know what you find.

Call the company, they may have a record of the sale.

if the barrel is stamped 223, then its a 223. pressures of 556 are to much to fire in a 223, you can use 556 or 223 brass, just have to use 223 reloading data for reloads
