    Lightweight 8mm Plinker 2.0 (314-008)

Any interest in having Al orbit out the 314-008 to make a light plain base 8mm plinking/small game boolit?

I would if there is a way to get it big enough for 8mm Lebel, .328" or so. I get tired of using up 255gr of lead every time I pull the trigger.

The concept does sound interesting. Have you talked to Al yet about making such a mold?Robert

No, I haven't. The idea of a 100-125gr. boolit came up in conversation, and looking around it seemed the perfect candidate for an off the shelf quickie if there was enough interest.

    Something to look at
    Comes out a little heavy

Could make it .321, .325 and say .328
May be offer a GC too!

5 orders and will run it

Count me in for a .328" plain base then. I just realized it that this design could work in the European 8mm handgun rounds as well as being a rifle plinker, ie. French Ordnance(Lebel), Gasser, Steyr.

I am a little perplexed that more interest has not been show on this one. My personal thought is to be able to have a very quiet subsonic load to target shoot at the bench, and be able to push it for ground hogs or what not. Even considered it for deer hunting as almost all I shoot are inside twenty yards.

After working with 10B101 in the 98K and 91/30 in the 1500fps range and finding it quieter than a pellet rifle, I am hopeful that this one goes. Especially so after Al's outstanding offer to cut with only 5 orders!

I would have expected a .325" dia offering for Mauser rifles, that I would go in for with a GC.Robert

(lol) I sent a PM to Al with that very question at 12:19pm on the 30th,,,,,if it was a typo I was trying to let him change it without the teacher catching his mistake,,,,,,,

Although, with the offer of running it with just a minimum of five, he will have to address the question of a gas check option.

We are wide open on the size!
    .321, .325 and .328 works just fine
Will check the tooling and see what we can do with GC's too

Will you be able to do PB\GC in the same mould?
    Thanks,

I'd be interested in this in .321, preferably with a gas check.
