    Shot jacketed after 200 PC'D got increased velocity

    I had about 200 rds of es pc'd boolits down the tube using HF red sized to .311.
    My load, 155gr A-Max 44.8gr Varget normal fps is 2631.
    Using a crono the first 10 shots average fps 2715 then after 10 shots the fps was back to normal.
    I didn't do anything to the barrel between switching to J bullets.
    Has anyone found a similar jump in FPS using J bullets after shooting PC boolits?
    I shooting an AR10.

    IMHO, copper fouling. Builds up and slows them down.

    The first 10 shots of jacketed were 84 fps faster than the next 10 shots that were normal velocity after shooting PC boolits.

    Nothing but gun powder residue in the barrel, then copper fouling starts to build up in the barrel? Once fouled, fps is constant. Called 'seasoning' the bore. Same a normal lubed cast but that usually only takes 3-4 shots.
