With the renewed interest in loading the 9mm it is time for a new design in a 147gn SWC mold. The current crop is pathetic.

A SWC design is the wrong application for a 147gr 9mm. The SWC shape creates a longer bullet that takes up more case capacity; the 9mm with heavy bullets needs as much case capacity as it can get.

I have the Saeco 929 145gr swc . i use it mostly for the 38 super and sometimes for the 9mm with excellent accuracy. for my 9mm's the col is 1.150 there is a good portion of the boolet shoulder outside the case.
