Go for it! You'll forget the price the day it arrives.

I do like those transparent colors. That green is nice looking with contrast of the brass.

There was a recent post to the PowderCoatingStore cautioning them about that. I guess it hasn't caused any trouble for PBTP.

Around a year ago PBTP sent out an email to all customers inviting them to send pics to be used as examples on their website. They posted at least 4 pics of my PC'd boolits, I thought it was pretty cool. But today I saw one of them (dk blue TC 40's) on that top-of-the-page banner! They were sitting on flathead screws, my first attempt at a way to elevate them before seeing beagle's glued nuts idea.

Yes, I made that post cautioning the powdercoat store. It is a calculated risk, but so is the stance chick fil a took. I still will get a chicken sandwich there when I visit a state that has them, but they lost a customer base because they chose to stick to their guns so to speak. They may have gained as many customers as they lost by doing that. It is a gutsy move by powderbythepound, and I hope it works out for them. We need to support companies like these that stick their neck out for us publicly.

ordered some new colours, Kawasaki green, tool blue and silverado silver. with the silver i couldn't tell if it was even coated, but it's coated very nicely.

i used a cool whip container with the bullets and powder in a zip lock bag and spun that around in the container for 1 minute. all the missing paint is from removing them with a powdered finger. i think a longer mix time and a pan to dump them onto would fix the issue. the kawasaki green was does in the cool whip container and not a bag.

thanks, the 50cal's have some bare spots on them, but it's not a big deal. i can't tell if it's the flash or not but i believe the 3rd blue 230gr 45cal bullet has some paint missing, but again not a big deal.

New Plan! I was describing Doc's birds egg mottled effect to my wife, and she says "Why don't you mix your three camo colors?"

Why didn't I think of that .... Now I need some more colors...and 3 mix ratios... I think it is a great idea. Hey Doc, did you spray or shake? I need powders that speckle vs. blend.

Not quite camo, but a nice speckled snotgreen. It was the unpredicted outcome of adding a different color in the DT tub between batches. It started with candy red, then lime green, then HF white, then kawasaki green. I haven't seen any examples of really big color splotches so a camo effect might be pretty hard to get. Cool idea though!

Snotgreen is a quite apt description for that color. Or Zombie splatter comes to mind.
