    Older Star Dilemma

So I purchased an older Star and was all set to cobble the parts together necessary to convert to air feed when I realized the crank screw has what I believe is a pressed end.

That knurled nut isn't coming off....without surgery.
I was intending to follow another forum members (Glockman1000's) idea but I don't think I will be able to now. Anyone run into this?

I'll give you a hint..... they all come off. Look at it again and it will dawn on you how to do it.

Looks like it should screw off the top, but I've never removed mine.

Wont come off the top, it bottoms out at both ends. Is the flange threaded internally?

Ugh...I feel like a goof! Put it in my wooden jawed vise and spun the crank....flange came right off. Thanks!
