    Modified original.

Same body (Centurion style with pocket clip). Head is now 2 mode high and low with run times running 1.4 hours on high and 6-8 on low. Most people were not using the mid mode so I deleted it and got better runs out of high and low. Batteries have been upgraded as well. I am using Samsung 2600 mAh 18650s which give better run times and longer battery life. Kit still contains light, 2 batteries and charger. Price will remain at $43 thanks to some better prices on driver components offsetting the improved battery cost. Rail mount kits with the polymer rail mount are $16 including bracket and pressure switch. aspheric lens available for $2 as well

    Big Lights

Same model as before 3 emitters and will run on either 2 or 3 batteries so can either be compact or have an extended runtime. These come with a Nitecore 2 cell charger and 6 18650 batteries so you have 3 sets if running in 2 cell mode or 2 complete sets running in 3 cell mode. These are 5 mode Hi>Mid>Low>Strobe>SOS and have the upgraded sense resistors to put out 1800-2000 lumen on high. In a pinch these can be run on 4*AA with the 3 cell extension. I would not run on more than low mode on AA as the current draw will stress cells and cause unwanted heat on high/mid. Price is $95 for light, 6 batteries and nitecore i2 charger. (this is a better charger than the previously offered and charges more quickly).

    New Ones:

Side Click – 18650 with Ramping and Strobe.

This combines several requests. It is a single 18650 size comparable to the original. It is a side click with the switch immediately behind the head. The switch is electronic so it has a 600 lumen high, can be switched to ramping by holding the button down and letting the light cycle from low to high. Releasing the button sets the low mode to that level. Double clicking the switch changes the light to strobe mode so those who want it have it and those who do not are not annoyed by it. With any electronic switch comes parasitic battery drain so these have a lockout function by ½ turn of the tailcap. This breaks the circuit and prevents battery discharge when the light is not in use over long periods. Again the light will be shipped with 2 batteries (Samsung 18650s as above) and the charger. Price for kit is $48.

    Monster light

This is a true monster. A TR-J12 with 5 emitters running on 8 Amps. This amount of current draw requires the use of larger cells to truly achieve useful runtimes so this one is offered with 2 full sets (6 batteries) of 26650 cells (26mm diameter 650mm Long). This light can also run on 18650s with the sleeves provided, or on low mode using standard C size batteries in a pinch. Output can easily dwarf the output of the original big light with nearly 3200 lumen when run on good quality 26650 cells. At mid mode the light puts out 1400 and roughly 300 on low. Runtime on 3*26650 is roughly 90 minutes on high but the light will be too hot to hold long before you reach that point. 9.5 inches long on 2 cells 12.5 on 3. Kit includes light, 6 batteries and 2 single cell chargers (there is no such thing as a good multi-cell 26650 charger). Kit price is $145.

I ran some tests using a lux meter for comparison of output just so we could compare apples to apples. Lumens is a very subjective measurement. This gives a much clearer picture as it allows direct comparison of all lights to each other. These were done at short distance and will not be comparable to others results, but within my system they give a good idea of how one compares to the next.

Be sure when ordering to enclose board name (handle), real name, product list, and shipping address. Do make a special note if you know your address has changed as I keep my address book from old buys and generally reuse those addresses.

Looks like I'm gonna be spending some big money this time. Will would it be possible to get the end cap for an original, had one stop working so I just jumped the switch and just twist to turn on. Thanks Carroll

What would 2 tail caps with switches cost for the original lights? I have 2 that are bad due to a whole lot of use.
