I lost my dad this last year on Christmas Day... he had renal carcinoma... I loved him more than I was ever able to express and still do. I miss him all the time. Seems like every 5 minutes I think of something else I want to ask him. You have my deepest sympathies and understanding. From what you've said about your dad, he and my dad would have gotten along very well.

God bless and keep your chin up! Every day I do just one little thing just the way my dad would have as a little way of remembering him. Yesterday it was catching a swarm of bees, today it was wearing white socks with shoes that I shouldn't!

We held the Rosary on 5/13/14 and the Mass of the Resurrection yesterday, 5/14/14.
Last night was the first good night's sleep I have gotten in a while.
